Using the Eye-Fi Mobi
Before you start using the card, you need to install the app on your smartphone or tablet. For this review I installed the Android version onto my HTC One.
After the installation has completed, you are prompted to enter the 10 digit activation code that is on the back of the SD card box.
Once that is done you are ready to start using the card.
The app has a number of settings and preferences, and even help guides.
Now just start taking pictures with your camera and the card will upload the pictures to your device.
You can also see notifications when the device has received the picture.
The photos will then appear in your gallery under Eye-Fi.
And it’s that simple!

Final Thoughts
There isn’t really a lot to say about the Eye-Fi Mobi SD card – it basically does exactly what it says on the tin, and it does it simply – it’s a must have!
Just install and set up the app, pop the card into your camera and start taking pictures. That really is it! The pictures will then appear on your device.
A number of cameras now come with this capability – it makes it quick and easy to upload your pictures to Facebook, Flikr, Twitter or wherever, it also makes for a quick and easy backup solution for your pictures. If you haven’t got that facility on your camera then the Eye-Fi Mobi card provides it for you.
The itself is a class 10 SDHC card, so it’s fast. One thing to be aware of though is that is doesn’t support all formats and sizes (it can only transfer JPGs for example), so do check on the Eye-Fi website for more compatibility.
Eye-Fi Connected cameras include additional features such as the ability to turn WiFi on and off. Again, check the Eye-Fi website for more details on those cameras and features.
There are three sized cards – 8GB, 16GB and 32GB, so not the largest SD cards on the market. So unless you are taking a large amount of very high quality pictures you should be fine.
The Mobi card retails for £41.99 for the 8GB card, £51.99 for the 16GB card, and £71.99 for the 32GB card. Given the small difference in price between the cards it’s advisable to go for the largest card you afford.
