Zynga has today announced that the Company has appointed Don Mattrick as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors, effective July 8, 2013. Mattrick has been at the forefront of the industry and brings more than 30 years of executive experience developing, building and managing profitable entertainment businesses.

Rumour is the Don Mattrick, the most senior executive within Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business, has allegedly announced his intention to leave the Microsoft. According to The Wall Street Journal, Don Mattrick is departing to take up the role of chief executive officer at social games group Zynga.
