Adobe Photoshop Express has launched as an app on Windows 8 and RT. The app is available for free, while additional “premium” options are available at a price.

Free basic editing features such as cropping, rotations and a red-eye remover are optimised for easier use on touch-screen devices.

Colour adjustments, auto-correction and 15 one-touch filters known as “looks” are also available for free.

At £2.19, 20 additional filters can be downloaded as an in-app purchase, as well as a noise reduction feature which costs £3.50.

It is also possible to upload images to Adobe Revel, which allows syncing across different devices.
