According to rumours, the game will take place in the future, but utilise current technology and weapons in line with a “major plot event”.
It will feature dynamic loading screens during multiplayer, which will see users repel from helicopters, sneak into maps and smash through windows.
Character movements will be updated, allowing users to slide while shooting and roll from side to side when prone, similar to DayZ.
The game will also feature more destructible environments in single player, while multiplayer maps will contain interactive areas and traps.
Spec Ops, meanwhile, will be replaced by something completely new for this Call of Duty Game, what will it be?

This rumor could potentially be true. I seem to recall an interview with Ghost’s voice actor back before MW3 came out that said he was being called in to do some voice work for an upcomming CoD game. Also, former Call Of Duty Creative Strategist Robert Bowling said in an interview with IGN awhile back that Ghost wasn’t exactly dead, and that we’d see what he meant soon.
I’m actually hoping this rumor is true, I really liked Ghost, the rumored gameplay changes sound awesome, and improved next-gen graphics would be amazing.
Ok, so maybe it wouldn’t have to be a prequel. Apparently former CoD Community Manager Robert Bowling said in an interview awhile back that “Ghost… isn’t exactly dead… but you’ll see what I mean soon.”.
