Sony have just launched two new coloured Super Slim PlayStation 3 consoles, one in Garnet Red and the other in Azurite Blue and we took a closer look at the Garnet Red one, because Red is our favourite colour.
Each of the new limited edition consoles brings a colourful, fresh new look to the 500GB Super Slim PS3.
The Garnet Red and Azurite Blue consoles also represent great value as each comes bundled with two coloured Dualshock3 controllers to match the console.
This PS3 also comes with a massive 500GB hard drive for all your downloads, saved games and anything else you want to put on it!
By redesigning the internal design architecture and removing the disc-fed tray for a sliding top-loading disc cover, the PS3 Super Slim is reduced in size by up to 25% compared to the current Slim PS3.
Having a sliding top-loading disc cover makes this PS3 feel a little retro, but that’s one of the things that makes this PS3 cool, apart from the colour of course. The cover works well either with the PS3 laying flat, like in the picture above, or if it is standing up. There is a button to open and close the the tray too, and it works a lot smoother when standing up.
Other than that you get the usual from a PS3, and the inclusion of two controllers was a great idea, because let’s be honest here, one controller is just never enough.
