Elder Scrolls Online fans can register for the game’s beta, Bethesda has announced.
To sign up for early access to the game, players are encouraged to visit the Elder Scrolls Online website and register interest. Beta launch dates and testing times will be announced at a later date.
The news is accompanied by a new cinematic trailer focusing on the Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, and Ebonheart Pact, all of whom are battling for control of Imperial City.
Speaking about the title’s imminent beta, game director Matt Firor said: “We’re really excited to get the game into players’ hands.
“We receive invaluable feedback through the beta process, and that helps us ensure that the game will be one of the best online gaming experiences ever offered – one worthy of the Elder Scrolls franchise.”
Announced last year, the massively multiplayer title allows players to explore the entirety of Tamriel in an adventure set a millennium before the events of Skyrim.
Developed by Zenimax Online Studios, it will combine the extensive exploration elements of the stand-alone Elder Scrolls games with the social and collaborative aspects of an MMO.
Solo and public dungeons have been confirmed, along with player-versus-player combat that sees three factions fight in open-world warfare.
The adventure is set during the reign of daedric prince Molag Bal as he attempts to destroy Tamriel.
The Elder Scrolls Online will be available on PC and Mac later this year.
