Rayman Jungle Run

Ubisoft’s Rayman Jungle Run was named iPhone Game of the Year in the App Store Best of 2012.  Here is the press release:

SAN FRANCISCO – December 14, 2012 – Ubisoft is excited to share that Rayman Jungle Run, the first game in the Rayman franchise to be developed specifically for mobile devices, has been selected by Apple as the “Game of the Year” for iPhone in the App Store Best of 2012. Rayman Jungle Run is GOTY in the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Japan, China and Australia, and Runner Up for countries in South America.

Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and Pastagames!, Rayman Jungle Run is powered by the same UbiArt framework engine that brought players Rayman Origins, winner of multiple Game of the Year and Platformer of the Year awards. Featuring beautiful graphics optimized for the latest devices and smooth touch-based controls, Rayman Jungle Run is easy for all ages to pick up and play, but quite the challenge to master.

Rayman Jungle Run received a free update in December, implementing new features and environments. A new world complete with ten new levels, including one Land of the Livid Dead stage, were added. Gameplay was expanded with new interactive elements such as plants that can be hit to make platforms appear and new moves such as sliding on water.  In addition to this major free update, a single in-app purchase unlocks Globox and 2 new Rayman costumes for $.99.  Rayman Jungle Run is available for iOS and Android mobile devices for $2.99.
