Are you in Europe or the UK, and have an interest in landing an internship for a month working for the developer of Little Big Planet? Then read on for the details of Sony’s contest!
Sony Computer Entertainment UK has announced an internship with the developer of Little Big Planet for the PS Vita. To enter the competition, just design a mini-game for the PS Vita version of Little Big Planet. If your minigame is chosen, you get a one month internship working for the developer of LBP for the Vita! Cool, huh? Here are the details:
London, 25th September 2012: Sony Computer Entertainment UK has today revealed details of a search for PlayStation’s next intern – sure to be sought-after by anyone looking to gain experience in the gaming industry. The month-long position, hosted by Swedish Studio Tarsier, will be awarded to the applicant who can create the best mini-game using upcoming PlayStation®Vita title, LittleBigPlanet™PlayStation®Vita.
Sackboy’s first PS Vita adventure will be let loose on September 19th. Once the game is launched, would-be interns will have one month to get to grips with the all-new minigame creation feature and submit their efforts for consideration.
To test and review each entry PlayStation has assembled a crack team of portable gaming aficionados from across Europe. These PlayStation Judges will put each minigame through its paces before selecting a top five from each country. The final decision will then be handed over to the team at Tarsier – the studio behind LittleBigPlanet™PlayStation®Vita – to choose the overall winner. Submissions will be judged on gameplay, originality, and commercial appeal.
PlayStation has collaborated with Moleskine to create custom edition LittleBigPlanet notebooks. The top five finalists from each participating country will each receive one of these.
The overall winner will be flown to Sweden where they’ll spend one month working within the different departments of Tarsier, polishing their title from amateur excellence to a fully-fledged piece of official DLC.
Elliott Linger, Product Manager for LittleBigPlanet PlayStation Vita said: “Gaming is an exciting and fast-growing industry but it can be tricky to get your foot in the door.
