Windows 8 RTM has finally hit MSDN and TechNet so you can download it now!
You can login now to TechNet and MSDN and download Windows 8.
One thing to note is that my TechNet downloads still only show the Preview build, so it might be a localisation thing.
MSDN on the other hand shows the RTM downloads:
Don’t forget if you want to use Media Center then you will need the Pro version. This is actually the Standard version download but you use a Pro version key to unlock it.
Have you downloaded Windows 8 yet? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

I did an upgrade from Windows 7 Ultimate with Media Center and Netflix installed. It removed Media Center on me and there seems to be no way to get it. At least from the Technet install. Even with the Pro key activated.
Installed my RTM copy of W8Pro and not really that impressed. I can’t see much improvement over the Release Preview. Certainly can’t see all the hints/instructions that we were told would appear in the RTM to help out new users to W8.
I was happy to see that now when moving the mouse to the right/left of the start screen that it would scroll the screen without needing to go hunting for the horizontal scroll bar. Sadly that turned out to be wishful thinking as so far only the Start screen does this. All other screens that have horizontal scrolls need you to click and drag the scroll bar (such as the market place).
I’ve been holding off building a new PC for the month so I could try out W8 RTM….looks like I’ll be sticking with Windows 7 for now.
Nokia cannot leave Windows platform. Launching new Windows Phone 8 device soon is a good idea, I appreciate that.
