Gameplay
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is an arcade skateboarding game. It lacks Kinect controls, but otherwise is very engaging. Using the standard XBOX controller, you control the skateboarding action of your skater in various settings…the first being an old warehouse. Aim the skater for the ramp, make a jump, pull an ollie or two, it’s all good! Each level has goals and requirements…master the tricks and make the jumps and you progress.
As you earn points and rack up achievements, you unlock new levels and tricks…and you can spend some of your points on revised clothing and skateboard equipment. It is good fun.
This is a fun arcade game and for $14.99 (1,200 Microsoft points), it provides some good gameplay while not breaking the bank. I rated it 4/5.
