The EC model runs a Xeon processor while the other model runs on a Core i3.  Also, the EC model has more memory.  Both models can handle 4TB drives and can serve as ISCSI/virtualization targets and support 10GbE networking.  Pricing was not available, and a quick check around the internet did not yield any outlets selling these yet.
