  1. Thanks Andy for sharing that with us, I went ahead and posted it under my new article as an incentive. I’m sorry there not extending this out to the other side of the pond.

  2. ANother Nice thing you can put on this is VMWare’s EXSI Server as well for Virtual Machines. You will probably need to out more RAM into it but at the price there selling them out it is well worth it.

  3. UK Insight are showing Insight Part Number: HPIA08NFL as £211.99 (ex.VAT) with cashback, but on further reading the cashback available it states “Purchase the *New* HP ProLiant MicroServer (part code 658553-421) between 1 November 2011
and 30 April 2012, complete this claim form and HP will refund £100 cash back.”.
so the cost would be 254.39 with 20% VAT.

What a difference!! Is this the same server?

  4. Sorry previous should have stated that at the full price it would be £254.39 including VAT @ 20% it is £100 cheaper until 30 April 2012. So in the UK we pay £154.39 at present and US pay $111.99 plus tax? Even at £100 cash back the sums don’t add up at the current exchange rate this would be £84.084 including VAT- if only life was so simple. Sorry Insight this is not your fault, but the world of ecconomics and rip off Britain.

  5. Anybody actually get any of these at this price? The listed 290 available on Saturday when this was posted. I had to wait till Monday to order and by the time I got on there they had about 30 and I had to call for price. Of course it was back up around $380 or so. Kicking myself for missing this one…
