QNAP added a 4TB option to their compatible hard drive list today, meaning that their TurboNAS units now support a 4TB drive option. Here is what they had to say:
Los Angeles, CA, March 13, 2012–QNAP®, Inc. today announced its Turbo NAS series products are compatible with new 4TB 3.5-inch hard drive.
After a series of thorough verification by QNAP lab, the Turbo NAS series is proven to be working with Hitachi® Deskstar HDS724040ALE640 (4TB, 3.5-inch, 7200 RPM). “QNAP well understands businesses’ demands for high capacity storage. We’re delighted to announce that QNAP Turbo NAS now supports 4TB hard drive, providing users with higher storage capacity,” said David Tsao, product manager of QNAP.
