The centrally located toggle button allows you to quickly switch between two sensitivity settings. The pre-defined CPI settings in the Kana are used and recommended by professional gamers all over the world. These CPI settings, which reach up to 3200, are also easily adjustable via the SteelSeries Engine.

Gaming grade UPE teflon covers 16 % of mouse bottom to ensure maximum glide. Or at least it should, but unfortunately a manufacturing problem occurred that meant the Kana mice left the factory with the wrong feet. No problem though as SteelSeries have implemented a Kana Pedicure campaign to get you the correct feet! I have put in for mine and will report back when they arrive.

When the Kana is connected to your computer, there is an illuminated light on the scroll wheel. The LED intensity can be assigned to indicate the currently active CPI profile.

Tweaking

The SteelSeries Kana is powered by the SteelSeries Engine. It allows users to customize the mouse with the ability for unlimited profiles, program buttons, set the polling rate, create macros, customize CPI settings, optimize your layout by recording movements and viewing a heat map of button usage and more.

The software needs to be downloaded from the SteelSeries website and then installed.
