Yesterday saw Iomega launch a new iOS app called Iomega Link which is used to connect your iOS device to an Iomega network storage device or home media device.
The Iomega Link app establishes a relationship between your iOS device and an Iomega network storage device running with firmware 3.1.14 or higher on px and ix series of hardware platforms. Using Iomega Link, you can backup contacts and pictures to the Iomega StorCenter device. You can also stream media and view content stored on your Iomega StorCenter device using the Iomega Link application. Iomega Link application is also supported on Home Media devices running with firmware version 3.1.14 or higher.
What: Iomega Link is a free mobile application now available from the Apple iTunes App store for use with Iomega network storage devices. Iomega Link provides an easy way to access Iomega network storage devices over WiFi, 3G or Iomega’s revolutionary Personal Cloud technology. Simply download and install the free app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, creating a direct link to upload, download, browse and stream content from your Iomega network storage device. No matter where you are in the world, enjoy pictures, music and more from your Iomega network storage device. With Iomega Link, you can also backup contacts and pictures from your Apple device to your Iomega network storage device.
Apple Device Compatibility: Iomega Link runs on the new iOS 5.0, as well as iOS 4.2 and 4.3 compatible devices, including the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch.
