The first thing the software does is check for any updates – and in my case there was an update, so it was downloaded and installed very quickly.
Then it was just a case of connecting the camera to my computer – Windows 7 found it no problem.
The software then prompted me to import my pictures and videos.
You can change the settings for import if you so wish.
You can use built in Windows 7 functionality to import the pictures if you wish, but you will lose some of the functionality of the FinePix software, including the Facebook / You Tube uploading capabilities.
You can also easily manage your photo folders as well.
