Last year we reviewed the TomTom SatNav app for the iPhone. Today see an update to version 1.8 bringing updated maps and some new features.
The update is 341 MB in size, so don’t even try and attempt it unless you are on wi-fi or you are downloading it on your computer first.
Their little warning to the original iPhone and iPod touch owners about the last version being the last version for them really points out one of the biggest weaknesses with the App Store – application tracking, especially of updates. Along with paid upgrades and was for developers to offer discounts to existing customers… there’s lots to like with the App Store, it could still use some polish and better applications updates – especially for iTunes installs that manage more than one iDevice, are sorely needed.
