Performance Tests
The laptop I used is a brand new Dell XPS L702x with 2nd generation Intel Core i5-2540M processor and 4GB ram (2X2GB 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel).
Here is what is shown:
And it shows with a Windows Experience Index of 5.9.
Here are the PassMark scores:
Now here are the results when I have fitted the Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) ram:
And it shows with a Windows Experience Index of 7.5!
Here are the PassMark scores:
As you can see, quite a significant jump from 1215.5 to 2104.8!
Final Thoughts
This ram was very fast, as you can see from the results above. I highly recommend it if you want to upgrade the ram you have on your laptop, and price wise it is very competitive for the speed and size. Often when buying laptops it works out cheaper to buy the ram yourself later, and in this case it would have worked out quite a bit cheaper, not to mention significantly faster memory!
