Syncing they Keyboard with your iPad

Once your keyboard is charged, syncing it with your iPad is simple.

On your iPad, go to Settings, General and then turn on Bluetooth if it isn’t already switched on.

On the keyboard, move the switch to the on position – it should light up.

Using a pencil or a paperclip, press the bluetooth button on the keyboard, and ZAGGmate should appear in the list of available devices and the light should flash to show its pairing.

Select that and a code will be displayed on the screen which you type on the keyboard to sync it.

And that is it!

Final Thoughts

I really like this case and keyboard. I have been using my iPad for a long time, and frankly if I need to do more than just a quick email response or surf a few websites I find it can be quite frustrating to do lots of typing, especially when you lose so much screen real-estate with the keyboard. This is where the ZAGG mate with keyboard case really comes into it’s own.

It is very easy to use, it is light weight, and frankly it looks very cool! My only concern is that I will actually scratch it – but they do provide four little rubber feet in the box that you can still on the corners to help prevent that – but then you have the feet stuck on and I think it takes away from the cool look!

I also really like that they have included a number of Special Function keys on the keyboard, including a Home button, Search, Slideshow and track buttons, not to mention volume controls. This is a really good addition as well.

It also won Best of Show 2011 at Macworld and a 2011 Innovations Design and Engineering Awards honoree at CES 2011. So both of those of quite an achievement.

I can’t recommend this enough – it is a fantastic keyboard, which feels nice and easy to use and protects your iPad screen at the same time. I will be taking it everywhere with me from now on.
