Back at CES in January of this year, one of the biggest things on show was 3D TV. You couldn’t walk 100 yards without there being something 3D in your face (literally).

There are now 3D televisions, and 3D Blu-ray players on the market, and even 3D TV broadcasts. Personally I’m still not convinced I want to sit in front of my TV wearing funny glasses, but that’s just me!

Anyway, AVerMedia, the company behind many successful and popular PC tuner cards, have released what they are calling the worlds first 3D TV Tuner card.

Now before you jump up and rush to get the tuner card, remember that you need to have a monitor that is 3D capable, and AVerMedia also recommend using an NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit as well, I say recommend, its more of a requirement than a recommendation.

One of the tuner cards is the AVerTV TwinStar PCI-E card.

You can learn much more about AVerMedia’s 3D card from their website.
