USING THE DRIVE
When you plug the drive in, the light on the rear of the unit illuminates.
Connecting the drive up to Windows 7 took a only a few seconds for it to be recognised.
Running some tests with HD Tune Pro showed some fairly good results:
FINAL THOUGHTS
The drive is a little bigger than my iPhone, and a bit heavier as well. Perhaps it wont be entirely practical to have it in your pocket, but you could do if you really wanted to!
It looks really good with a cool finish on it and it works without any problems.
Speed wise I had no problems writing to, or reading from the drive with different size files.
Price wise here in the UK it retails for £144.99 and it retails in the US for $179.99. It also includes a 3 year warranty.
If you are looking for a good looking, portable 1TB USB 2.0 hard drive then you really should take a look at this one.

USB 3.0 drives are starting to make their way onto the market now – so watch out for our reviews coming up soon.

Andrew,
Misco have it in stock on their web site at
nice one – thanks Dave
its strange the Iomega's UK website only show up to 500GB to buy!
Andrew
well, actually in it there are 2 500gb disks, thats why it is thicker than other portable drives.
i do not recommend anybody to buy this, it is thick and it requires more power and 2 usb ports, 1 exclusively for power.
it is slower, and requires much power than a real 1tb 2.5 hard drive!
This hard drive is garbage. I bot 3 and all of them developed bed sectors.
Rule number 1. Scan for errors and bed sectors. than check the SMART STATUS
Scan 3 times and check smart status for changes like (Reallocated Sector Count) every time. If after scanning 3 times the SMART is ok , thank You can put your data on it.
when i was using it by 3 weeks (i was thrust it) after a crash of my computer it seems to disappear the partition scheme!!!! i have 4 partition GUID scheme only MAC Formated …
and i lost my 750 GB of information…
i try everything but the disk appear like it never been formated….
i afortunatelly has a backup of almost averything…
i tried to reformar an create the 4 partirion again… then i copy 100 gb to test…
in thath nigth when il try tu copy a movie file to anothe computer… it crash…an after restart the computer the hard drive again is completely clean also without partitions….
