USING THE SV9380

The SV9380 is very light and quite small. Connecting it up to your television is simple and only takes a few seconds.

It’s suitable for most locations up to 18 miles from the transmitter.

One important thing to note today is that not everywhere in the UK can pick up a decent digital signal (obviously over time this will change).

One for All have put a digital map on their website which enables you to see if this aerial will work in your area.

Where I am based currently doesn’t get a signal, so I tried it a friends house who does.

The positioning of the aerial did make a difference to the picture quality and I didn’t manage to get all the channels I was hoping for, and some of the channels were poor quality, but some were very good.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The SV9380 is very simple to use and doesn’t take up much room. If you need to use an indoor aerial then this is certainly worth taking a look at. However to really benefit from this you need to be within a really good distance from the transmitter. If you are not, then you may not get the results you need. And I certainly wouldn’t go as far as to say “perfect reception” which is how One for All describe it, but if you live very close to the transmitter then you might get better results than you might with a standard indoor aerial.

Priced £59.99, it’s cheaper than calling out a contractor to install or adjust a rooftop aerial, and of a lot of people an external aerial just may not be an option, however if you really want the best possible quality you still cannot beat a properly mounted and installed external aerial.
