Capture Rate – Video of Restore Error
I actually reshot it with the new device. It supports audio from my microphone and I just moved the whole thing into Live Movie Maker after I was done recording to edit the “loads” delays.
You can load the software and driver on to multiple machines and just move the device around. Since I have the same Dell 15 as my mom I thought I would show the Restore error again but in the new format.
Not too bad. I was also not tired and cranky when I shot it the second time!

Conclusion
Let me know what you think of the videos made with the new epiphan VGA2USB in the coming months. Now, if they only made a simple device to change my voice into someone who sounds like Alec Baldwin or Harrison Ford…
Tim

Very cool Tim – thanks!
Yes very cool, cant wait to see it in action!
I am very interested in this product to capture 1024×768 VGA from a laptop. Can you tell me the capture rate you are getting? at what resolution?
thanks
I use the epiphan VGA2USB and its software to get the signal to my PC but then use ZDSoft Screen Recorder to get smaller full screen recording. I just capture the window on the desktop. It is very easy.
I do this because I found that the epiphan VGA2USB software had large and bulky video files.
