With it being CES this week here in Las Vegas (what was that, you hadn’t heard), there will be lots of different announcements, and I am certain those will include details of new processors and boards.
David from TranquilPC has been in touch to say that Tranquil will start shipping the new Intel Atom – D510MO (Mount Olive) motherboard from tomorrow.
The price is £68.95 (Excluding VAT at 17.5%) and can be ordered from here.
Exceptional Performance per Watt – the Intel D510 Dual Core Atom powered mini-itx board – D510MO
Main board supplied in OEM packing, with all included parts
SHIPPING from 6th January 2010
The new Intel D510MO mini-itx main board, from Intel, powered by the incredible Atom D510 Dual core CPU.
This very low power CPU + North Bridge (TDP = 13W), with multiple core / multiple thread support, is exceptionally efficient. Capable of powering Vista Home Media Center, for example, with ease (even the Aero Glass effects). Now you can even decode 1080p HD files with ease.
The Atom D510 CPU used on this board is a 2x 1.66GHz model, with 2x 512K of L2 cache, based on Intel’s latest 45nM process. The supporting chipset, the Intel NM10 provides desktop connectivity and performance. Intel high definition audio, 10/100/1000 LAN, PCI, SATA2 (3GB/s) DDR2 667/800 are all there, to ensure connectivity, expandability and performance.
The passive cooling on the CPU does require a system fan, for optimal cooling.
The heat sink measures 36mm off the upper side of the main board.
DO NOT use this board without a fan in the system.
Build your new mini-itx project, or upgrade your mini-itx project today, and get a huge performance boost.
Note the maximum height component is the CPU heat sink (36mm above the main board)
If you are business considering using this technology in a current or new product, please contact our OEM team, who will be pleased to discuss your requirements (oem@tranquilpc.co.uk)
