With the arrival of Amazon Alexa on Wileyfox smartphones, Wileyfox today announces the availability of an exclusive, limited-edition Echo Dot bundle via Amazon.co.uk.

From today, customers purchasing a brand-new SIM-free Wileyfox Swift 2 X (just £209.99) will not only get a smartphone that allows accessing to Amazon Alexa on the move, they will also receive a complimentary Echo Dot worth £49.99 as well. The bundle can be purchased from Amazon.co.uk, and is available while stocks last.

This offer is the first time there has ever been an Amazon Echo device included with a smartphone inbox and is the latest in the ongoing collaboration between Wileyfox and Amazon.co.uk. The one-of-a-kind bundle has been created to celebrate the wider Alexa integration on Wileyfox smartphones, which will see the Swift 2 range of handsets become the most affordable way to get Alexa on a smartphone.

Wileyfox handset owners will be able to benefit from hands-free interaction with thousands of Alexa Skills, including Uber, Phillips Hue, Nest, Spotify and much more. Amazon Alexa will be available alongside the existing Google Assistant on Wileyfox Smartphones to give owners, even more, choice on how they interact with their phone.

In addition, with the Amazon Echo Dot, customers will be able to enjoy all the benefits of having far field access to Alexa that all the family can utilise, whether the Wileyfox handset is nearby or not.

Amazon’s popular voice service offers the ability to answer questions, get the news and weather, control smart home devices, or enjoy music, podcasts and entertainment either through Echo Dot’s built-in speaker. Customers can also connect to existing speakers or home audio systems via Bluetooth or a 3.5 mm stereo cable. Wileyfox handset owners will also be able to connect their Swift 2 X to the Amazon Echo Dot via Bluetooth and play music via connected speakers.

The Wileyfox Swift 2 range of handsets now offer the lowest cost option for customers to interact with Alexa on their smartphone, with prices from just £159.99/€169.99.

Naeem WaljI, CMO, Wileyfox said: “Hot on the heels of our recent announcement that we have brought Amazon Alexa to our smartphones starting with the Swift 2 range, we are absolutely thrilled to be launching the world’s first ever smartphone and Amazon Echo Dot package. Not only was Wileyfox the first brand ever to retroactively bring Alexa to an already-available handset, but we are now offering new owners a connected home device as well. The added versatility offered by having Alexa on your Swift 2 X, and by having the Amazon Echo Dot available as a smart home assistant or Bluetooth speaker is incredible – and I look forward to hearing about the innovative ways our customers use them.”
