2K UK today revealed it will celebrate the launch of Mafia III this Friday (7th October) by teaming up with TimberYard coffee shop to give Londoners a taste of the 1960’s.
In celebration of the 1968 setting of Mafia III, members of the public will be able to purchase coffee at the 1960’s price of 10p per coffee at the TimberYard Seven Dials coffee shop in Central London this Friday the 7th October (10p coffee offer only applies to a black Americano and is subject to availability, public will need to tweet #Mafia3 and #10pCoffee to qualify)
British actor and former professional footballer Vinnie Jones will make an appearance at TimberYard coffee shop as special guest barista for early risers from 8am for a limited time.
Renowned food architects and inventors, Bompas and Parr, have also specially created a Mafia III-inspired gunpowder ingredient which those in need of an extra pick me up can add to their brew. Served in empty bullet cartridges, the gunpowder will add a mighty mobster-style punch to customers’ coffee in celebration of the hard-boiled story of crime at the heart of Mafia III.
Mafia III is an open world action-adventure game set in New Bordeaux, a reimagined New Orleans during 1968. It follows the story of Lincoln Clay – a disenfranchised Vietnam veteran returning from combat who is betrayed by the Italian mob, and becomes fixated on revenge and wages a brutal war against the Italians, disrupting the balance of power in the seedy underworld of New Bordeaux. Mafia III is being developed by Hangar 13, a new development studio under the 2K publishing label led by veteran game developer Haden Blackman.
Mafia III will be available this Friday 7th October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
