Apple iPad mini 2 components have allegedly been glimpsed in a leaked photograph.
What is claimed to be the  tablet’s back casing has leaked onto a Chinese Internet forum (via Apple Insider), suggesting a thicker form factor than the first-generation model.


The thicker casing fuels rumours that the second-generation iteration iPad mini will sport a Retina display,  given that the Retina-packing model of the full-sized iPad is thicker than the  non-Retina version.
Rumours of new hardware from Apple have begun to heat up of late. In addition to persistent speculation about future iPhone models,  the Cupertino firm is believed to be working on an iOS-powered  smartwatch.


Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White recently claimed to have received a  tip that Apple is planning to refresh its iPad line twice a year from 2013 and  unveil new tablets in March. Sources predict that a Retina-display touting iPad mini would likely carry a higher price tag that its predecessor.
