A Closer Look

Using the Sleeve

Fitting the iPad into the sleeve was simple and it felt very protected.

In order to use the Bluetooth keyboard, you need to charge it up using the supplied cable (or a cable you may already have).

Then you switch on the power and press the Connect button.

You should then see Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard shown as an available device on your iPad:

Tap it to start the pairing and then type in the 4 digit number code displayed on the iPad on the keyboard itself to complete the pairing.

Job done – you can now use the keyboard.

Final Thoughts

The case protects the iPad very well – I felt that my iPad was secure at all times.

Changing from portrait to landscape was easy, as was setting up the stand element on the case.

The case looks very nice too!

They keyboard takes a little getting used to – it reminded me of the days as a kid playing with a ZX Spectrum – but within a few minutes I was happily typing away. There is even a Home button on the keyboard.

Pairing up the keyboard with my iPad was simple and took less than a minute to do.

For this review we had the Black sleeve, but it also comes in White, Red, Brown and Pink, so there are a few colours to choose from!

This sleeve is suitable for either the original iPad or the iPad 2, and unlike some other sleeves that claim to be iPad 2 compatible, this actually is. The tell tale sign is primarily around the rear camera hole. If it really is iPad 2 compatible it will have a hole for the rear camera, if it’s just a rebadged iPad 1 case it won’t have the hole!

Price wise, the sleeve retails for around £89.99.

If you are looking for both a case, stand and a keyboard for your iPad you should certainly take a look at this one!
